HOW TO SET UP
FOR YOUR CLASS
Download Zoom on your device if you do not have it already. You can use mobile devices or a computer. The bigger the screen the better.
You just need a mat. Ideally, if you can, use a thick / Pilates mat, and wear comfortable clothes. Set up your mat horizontally to the camera so Maria can see you in full and make the appropriate corrections.
On some occasions we will be using props such as a Pilates ring (magic circle), a Pilates ball, a theraband or light weights, but do not worry, we will be giving you plenty of notice before and alternatives to use as props.
Expect a whole body, low impact and controlled workout. Special emphasis is given to your core muscles and your breathing, but you will also work your arms, legs, glutes and back.
You will feel stronger and calmly energized after each class. And with regular practice the Pilates exercises will engrain in your muscle memory and you will start feeling better, getting rid of back aches, tensed muscles and stiff joints.
Your flexibility will improve and you will feel taller and better aligned.
Before your first class you can book a free 30 minute induction session with Maria to set out your goals and cover your needs. This induction is mandatory if you have never done Pilates before, you suffer from an injury or if you are pregnant.
